Lori Supinie Obituary, Death Cause – Above all else, she was a loyal friend to all she interacted with. Lori had a deep affection for her friends, her family, and her religion. It was one of her greatest passions, along with composing and listening to music, to explore new places. She was the former owner of Senseney Music Inc., a retailer of musical instruments, which in 2011 received the Dealer of the Year award from the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM).
Lori was highly regarded in the music industry, where she has served on the boards of directors of a variety of local, state, and national music organizations, including most recently as the chair of the board of directors for the Wichita Symphony Orchestra, which she had just completed. Andy, her spouse of 43 years, is the only person who survives her, along with her mother-in-law. Betty Supinie of Lawrenceville, Illinois; two children, Tim Supinie and his wife Heather of Norman, Oklahoma, and Julie Supinie and her husband Andrew of Lyons, Kansas; three grandsons, Mark, Daniel, and Luke Scherer. She is also survived by her siblings Joanne (Steven, who passed away) Schenck of Colorado Springs, CO; Bob (Paula) Runty of Covington, LA; Tom (Janet) Runty of Maple Park, IL; Karen (Richard) Jordan of Plano, TX; Richard (Mary Beth) DeGrush of New Lenox, IL; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Her aunt Barbara Runty lives in Manhattan, IL.
Lori Supinie has died. We extend our sincerest condolence. Her biological father, Dale Runty, and her mother, Mabel Runty DeGrush, as well as her stepfather, Ampheon “Barney” DeGrush, and her father-in-law, Frank Supinie, all passed away before Lori. The roles of daughter, daughter-in-law, sister, wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother that Lori played in her family’s life were all exceptional.
